“Fish & Other Stories as My Pen Remembers Them”
Published posthumously in 2017, the book Fish & Other Stories as My Pen Remembers Them has page selections from Unruh’s personal sketchbook journals and a collection of paintings based on his fishing and hunting travels. The book was designed by his good friend Jack Summerford, published by Herring Press, and sponsored by “The Friends of Unruh" (listing in images below). Celebrating Unruh’s gift for sketching and keeping journals, proceeds from its sale have funded a scholarship at Unruh’s alma mater Washington University in St. Louis, with gratitude for the start it played in forging his career.
